We warmly welcome you to join us for the inaugural Hutt Winter Festival - a new arts festival championing the creativity of local Hutt-based artists and groups.

So, what is the Hutt Winter Festival all about?

We are a festival for the people, by the people! Our programme of nine events, three workshops, and one exhibition over 10 days creates an epic eruption of colourful art activity to brighten up all corners of the Hutt City area.

Highlights include a night-time bicycle adventure with the Bicycle Carnival of Light & Motion, a concert by the Hutt Valley Orchestra with a little French Flair, a parade of handcrafted creatures with Wild Arrivals, all culminating in a creative Big Winter Blast Sunday 23 July - full of music, dance, storytelling, and delicious food.

Most events are free/koha - full details on our programme are available now at our new website.

“We have been working with many members of the community to develop the festival and put something together that is new, exciting and full of opportunities for people from the Hutt City to participate. We’ve been blown away by the amount of creative activity happening in the Hutt, and the can-do attitude of the people who work there.” – Jo Randerson, Barbarian Productions
