Nick Bollinger and Adam Dudding take an entertaining and thought-provoking journey through the terrains mapped out in their acclaimed new memoirs: Bollinger’s 'Goneville' and Dudding’s 'My Father’s Island'.

Bollinger and Dudding will read short passages from their books, publicly pick each other’s brains about the best way to write a memoir-cultural-history, and reflect on the pleasures and perils of mining your own and your family’s life as subject matter for a book, as well as answering questions from the audience. They also have some pretty interesting photos to share, demonstrating the fashion crimes that were commonplace in New Zealand’s mid-century musical and literary scenes.

Both books were on the non-fiction longlist for the 2017 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards, and 'My Father's Island' made the shortlist. Copies of both will be available.

All welcome!
