Marlborough Historical Society invites you to Ship Cove in the Marlborough Sounds, bringing to life Captain Cook's discovery of New Zealand on a cruise around the Sounds.

The day trip will be lead by local historian, John Orchard, departing Beachcomber Wharf, Picton, at 9am and returning at approximately 5pm on the 19th of February. Authentically brought to life, stories and images of the sites visited by Cook will be shared in anticipation of the 250th Year Celebrations to commemorate Cook's discovery of New Zealand.

Bring with you food, cold drinks; hot water will be available on the boat for those with cups and ingredients for hot drinks. Suitable clothing is required for the day along with appropriate footwear as the tour will also visit Motuara Island and Wharehaunga Bay. Please ensure your footwear is clean and there are no seeds attached to your clothing. Only small items will be allowed ashore at Mataura Island.
