The seventh spring festival of Jazz in Martinborough will bring a wide range of styles to our wine village for four days of entertaining music and events. From New Orleans blues to original modern jazz and everything in between, we have something for everyone.

The seventh edition of the New Zealand’s coolest village jazz festival is on again in 2017. Check out the website for full programme and performers details.

Three feature acts will appear at ticketed events at The Village Café while the Town Hall awaits its refurbishment. There will also be over 25 free gigs to choose from at a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants in Martinborough.

Feature acts are the Nigel Patterson Quartet, the Drinking and Dancing Society and the Sue Pugmire Jazz Combo:

- The Nigel Patterson Quartet will be the eagerly anticipated feature act on Saturday night. The NPQ is brimming with latent and creativity, led by Nigel Patterson from the Black Seeds, one of NZ’s most highly-regarded keyboard players and composers.

- The Drinking and Dancing Society (DADS) will play on Friday night. Their bluesy, New Orleans sound will be the perfect way to unwind at the end of the week.

- The Sue Pugmire Jazz Combo will open the Festival on Thursday. They bring an eclectic mix of musicians who play a diverse mixture of songs and instrumentals from the 1920s to the present day that includes jazz, blues, latin, bebop and even a little-improvised funk.

Tickets to the three feature acts are on sale now at i-Ticket.
