The ultimate goal of all human beings is the achievement of wellbeing.
Increasing daily life stresses means this is becoming less achievable. Expectations mean we are time pressured; automatically rushing from one moment to the next, hardly noticing what day it is sometimes. We’ve become accustomed to living life in ‘fight or flight’ mode, regularly getting called to attention by body ‘alarm systems’ presenting symptoms that interrupt our daily flow. Often this is inconvenient so we ignore them. How long can we go on doing this before we're forced to take notice? At some point, we must stop and change what we're doing...
Now is the time to take a breath, and learn something practical to help in everyday life.
Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) is an innate harmonising art and one of the oldest practices in the world; used by thousands and taught for years in many countries, including New Zealand.
JSJ offers us physio-philosophy for daily living and basic self-help to assist us in staying centred, healthy and happy. It can be used, and shared, by anyone, and easily taught to children. It’s gentle enough for babies, the elderly and terminally ill too. The uniqueness of the self-help is, once you know the basics, it’s completely free. All you need are your hands and the willingness to share.
Saturday 22nd April- come along to one of the two free introductory talks (10.00AM ...and repeated again after lunch AT 1.00PM) where I’ll run through the basics. If you have a health project or need suggestions for someone you know, there will be time to discuss afterwards.
Sunday 23rd April - book in for this one-day workshop (10 - 3pm) where you'll have the opportunity to go deeper into the art, learn more about ‘attitudes’, the emotions that shape who we are, the 26 JSJ energetic locations on the body, practice some specific daily routines, discuss circulatory patterns and how any blockages in this will affect us. The cost of this workshop is $60 per person.
Make time for what’s important. Come along and find out how much fun, easy and effortless it is to get to know and help ourselves.
