Jowett cars began in 1906 and were produced in Bradford, UK until 1953. The most common models were the post-war Jupiter sports car, Javelin saloon and Bradford truck or van. All models from 1904 to 1953 had the Jowett trademark of a horizontally opposed engine.
Enthusiasts are travelling from around New Zealand from north of Auckland and from the South Island. The best place to view cars over the weekend would be at the Concours d ‘elegance at the Tongariro North Domain in town, north of the Information Centre, 10:15am to 11:15am Saturday 22nd.
