The Edge, New Zealand’s hottest entertainment brand, MediaWorks and TEG Live are thrilled to announce pop superstar Jason Derulo and multi-award winning hitmakers Fifth Harmony as the international headline acts for this summer’s biggest music festival series, KFC Edgefest.

Derulo, who began his career writing songs for the likes of Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Diddy and Sean Kingston, has gone on to sell more than 50 million singles worldwide with 11 career-defining platinum singles, including the New Zealand #1 single Whatcha Say, Want to Want Me, In My Head, Ridin' Solo, Don't Wanna Go Home and It Girl.

Fifth Harmony is a four-part contemporary pop girl band who originally formed on The X Factor USA in 2012. The group has topped the New Zealand charts with their #1 song Work from Home, a track which has been streamed more than 685 million times on Spotify. Other hit Fifth Harmony tracks include: All In My Head (Flex), Miss Moving On and Worth It. The group’s accolades to date include include three MTV Europe Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, an American Music Award, a Billboard Women in Music award, four iHeart Radio Music Awards and six Teen Choice Awards.

Also joining Jason Derulo and Fifth Harmony in New Zealand for KFC Edgefest is English dance pop sensation Jonas Blue whose New Zealand top 20 hits include Fast Car, Perfect Strangers and Mama; plus Norwegian tropical house/pop princess Astrid S whose 2016 track Hurts So Good reached #18 in the Kiwi music charts.

Performing KFC Edgefest alongside these international acts are some of New Zealand’s stellar contemporary musical talent, including hip-hop star Kings (Don’t Worry Bout It) and singer-songwriter Mitch James (Move On).
