Kids benefit from yoga in the same way adults do.

Modern life is busy for children and can get stressful, weekly yoga time gives kids a dedicated time to learn and practice skills in centering and mindfulness through bodywork and breathing.

A benefit of this is increased fitness, integrated strength and flexibility and an ability to self-calm. Yoga for kids is becoming increasingly popular as parents realise the importance of well-being as the springboard for self-confidence, energy and focus - benefiting all other areas of life: school, sport, interpersonal relationships...

Fun is the magic ingredient that incites interest and engages - kids love games - and games bring everyone together, we have some cool games! Throughout the term, there will also be cross-curriculum activities like art and story that help develop themes and inspire practice! Each class finishes with 5 minutes "Shavasana" (Lying down guided Relaxation Time) to music.

Classes are restricted to approx 10-12 kids.

About the teacher:
Megan is an inspiring, dedicated, creative and caring teacher. She is a mother to two boys, aged 5 and 10 years, and interacts with children through her yoga and mindfulness classes in schools, Yoga in the Wild School Holiday Programmes and Yoga for Mums with pre-schoolers courses. She is passionate about the benefits of yoga and sharing her knowledge with the community.
