Most of what we throw in the bin doesn’t belong there. We opened up our rubbish bags and found 26% of our rubbish was food waste. For the average family that’s 2.4kg per week.

A worm farm is a great way you can deal with your food waste at home and create rich compost for your garden.

Come along to our hands on session and learn about how to set up and look after your worm farm. At the end of the day, you will take home a vermihut worm farm, compost and your new family of composting tiger worms. The value of this kit is $180. After the event, there will be a tour of the local community garden to see what other great things you can do in your garden.

Benefits of your worm farm:
- Quick and easy to deal with your food waste.
- Lightens your rubbish bag - money saver.
- Creates natural fertiliser for free.
- Stops methane gas production by taking out your food from landfill.
- Small in size, suitable for even small gardens.

Just one workshop with us and you will be ready to take all your food waste out of your rubbish bag and start worm farming.

Our worm farms are specially prepared for each workshop based on numbers and as a result, there are no refunds on this ticket for non-attendance. You can book and come to a future event.
