Growing kai (food) is a way of practising kaitiakitanga (guardianship) on our Whenua (lands) as well as promoting the importance of healthy kai free from pesticides and toxins.

The workshop will talk about the importance of food gardens for harvesting and cultivating food crops in the world we live in today. We will also talk about the different types of food planted during the year and the benefits of those foods for our people.

Workshops run from 9:30am to 2:30pm each day at 9:45am, 10:45am, 12:15pm & 1:15pm. Matariki marquee at the Mount Beachside Holiday Park, 1 Adams Ave, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. Gold coin donation.
