This event is a charity fundraiser for South Pacific Animal Welfare. We are a registered New Zealand Charity and we provide volunteer veterinary care to our neighbouring pacific islands. The money raised will contribute to the costs to run 6 field clinics. The islands we work on include Tonga, Vava'u, Samoa, Fiji, Rarotonga, and Niue.

Take some time out for yourself. Enjoy a day escaping the madness of Auckland - indulging your senses, sampling local produce, tasting wines and visiting some of the best sites of the Matakana Wine Region.

Our private shuttle bus will depart Auckland City at 8.30 am and head to Matakana. Guests will be welcomed on board by SPAW Board Members, and everyone receives a goodie-filled trip bag with products and information to make your day special.

The trip fee includes entry to all excursions, food, and wine as outlined and return shuttle transportation.

Private Coach from Auckland to Matakana -
Our private shuttle bus will depart at 8.30am and returning to Auckland by 5.00 pm.

A visit to the Matakana farmers markets -
The Saturday Farmers' Market is a showcase of artisans producers, growers and farmers in the Matakana region. The Farmers’ Market is a unique experience everyone loves. Locally roasted "Love Shack" Coffee vouchers are included in this package.

The Matakana village boutique shops -
Surrounding the market are fabulous Matakana Village shops providing visitors with a wide range of fashion, homewares, book, gift and health food shops, beauty salons, bars, restaurants, cafes, art gallery and boutique cinemas.

Behind the scenes tour of The Morris and James Pottery Factory -
Founded by Anthony Morris in 1977, Morris & James pioneered the use of production processes to assist in throwing large pots and ceramicware. This tour will give you a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse of the Morris & James pottery factory and pottery shop.

The Vivian gallery Matakana -
Contemporary Art, Uniquely New Zealand. The Vivian provides a very personable gallery experience in the tranquil country setting of Matakana, New Zealand. Offering a relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere, they provide our guest's outstanding works from well known New Zealand and international artists throughout the year. Contemporary art, sculpture, and object, bring a unique mix to our clients.During April, our guests will be able to enjoy the Not Just Flowers exhibition and a walk around the beautiful Gallery gardens.

Guests will be treated to a delicious lunch and local wine that will delight your taste buds.

Brick Bay Winery and Sculpture Park
Brick Bay Sculpture Trail near Matakana showcases an ever-changing exhibition of around 45 contemporary sculptures, available for sale, by leading New Zealand artists. On the 2km trail, experience sculpture in a remarkable landscape framed by towering native trees, abundant birdlife and green pastures, overlooking the celebrated Brick Bay Vineyard. Guests will enjoy delicious platters and wine as well as the wonderful sculpture trail of Brick Bay Winery.
