To celebrate Matariki this year Rotorua Museum will be hosting a free Whānau Day at Te Rūnanga Tea House.
Enjoy Matariki crafts for all the family with fun colouring-in sheets for younger children.
Relax with the kids to listen to an interactive Matariki story at 11am and 1pm.
Children can get their face painted and learn more about Matariki in this fun-filled day.
Matariki (tiny eyes or eyes of God) is a cluster of nine stars which reappear in the Southern skies during the cold months of winter signalling the beginning of the Māori New Year.
