Mirror Mirror is an outrageous twist on the children’s story Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, performed with a South Auckland flavour.

When wicked Queen B discovers her stepdaughter Snowy has become an internet sensation because of her angelic singing, it drives her into a jealous rage. To reclaim her fame and power, Queen B orders that Snowy be followed as she searches for the Legendary Seven in South Auckland. Through Auckland’s motorways, bus routes, and cabbage tree swamps, watch how Snowy’s perilous journey unfolds. Will Snowy find the Legendary Seven? Will she make it back alive? Will she eat the poisoned apple and will a handsome prince kiss her?

Mirror Mirror is a must see this April school holidays and another clever fairy-tale makeover from Māngere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku following their previous successes, including last year’s Pigs on the Run.

A 30-strong cast has perfected their script, songs and dance steps. From rap to gospel, hip hop to high kicks and wrestling moves, Mirror Mirror is full of colourful language and rich laughter. This is a show for the whole family and a true South Auckland community collaboration. Watch first timer, six-year old Mele perform alongside seasoned professionals, Brady Peeti as Queen B, Bob Savea, Luse Su’a Tuipulotu and Snowy, played by Stand Up Stand Out 2016 winner, Irene Folau.

Many cast members return from last year, including Rokalani Lavea, Caleb Rawiri, Torie Pickering; Jake Arona; Ida Ati; as well as sisters Ella and Josephine Mavaega.
