Become a filmmaker with your mobile phone or tablet!
Learn how to use your smartphone or tablet in a creative way. Go beyond the easy Vine, Snapchat and Instagram video and create stories through skilful filming, editing, sound and creative processes all from your mobile phone or tablet. Explore storytelling using myths and legends or create your own hero.

What we'll be doing:
In two fun but action-packed days you will explore how to use your device to get film quality results, explore different filming styles and techniques, storyboard and storytelling. Stories will explore myths, legends and heroes from your culture or imagination. Choose comedy, drama or horror and create your own live action story.

You will edit and produce your own live-action movie complete with sound and music.

Attendees will be grouped together and work in a collaborative manner. The final result will be a short movie made entirely on your mobile device to share with whanau!

This is a chance to explore the process of filmmaking using your own device and to go from start to finish. Filmmaking is collaborative so attendees will work together and share ideas, stories and film in teams.

Props/costumes and production design can be added from own resources.
