As people join in remembrance at Anzac Day services throughout the country we will reflect on this year’s centenary of the Battles of Messines and Passchendaele.
At Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, members of the public have the opportunity to attend the Dawn Service at 6.00 am and the National Commemoration at 11.00 am. The daily Last Post service will conclude the day’s activities at 5.30 pm.
The Great War Exhibition behind the National War Memorial will open on Anzac Day from 6.30 am to 6 pm with the opening of Casualties, their latest temporary exhibition. This new exhibition portrays the afflictions and hardships New Zealand service personnel experienced during World War One. Following the Dawn Service at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park this Anzac Day, you can also enjoy a buffet breakfast and guided tour at The Great War Exhibition from 6.30 am to 8.30 am: https://www.eventfinda.co.nz/2017/anzac-day-buffet-breakfast-and-guided-tour/wellington
