New Zealand Boutique Wine Festival 2017 (NZBWF).

On Sunday 11th June 2017, the fifth annual New Zealand Boutique Wine Festival will descend into one of Auckland's most sophisticated wining and dining establishments, the Imperial Building in Fort Lane.

The best boutique vineyards from around New Zealand will be showcasing over 300 wines, creating one of the most unique cellar door experiences in this country’s wine history.

Event attendees will be able to explore wines from different regions, enjoy fantastic food and wine pairings, great live music, Masterclass with our ambassador Yvonne Lorkin and Vertical Tastings.

Each ticket includes: One Luigi Bormioli Italian festival glass (RRP $19.99), event programme, and one free tasting token on entry.

VIP Lunch / Dinner Tickets (includes Entry to festival) -
Limited in number and include Festival ticket, Two-Course Lunch or Three Course Dinner designed by Everybody's head chef with two or three expertly-matched Festival wines.
Lunch sessions at 12 pm or 2 pm and Dinner at 5 pm. Booking of tables and Vegetarian meals are essential, email: manager@everybodys.co.nz or you will be seated with other groups.

Lunch:
Entree: Lime cured Hapuka, fresh wasabi, walnut, Juniper, compressed cucumber, pickled pear.
Main: Caramelized free range pork belly, saffron cauliflower, butter poached prawn, pancetta.
Expertly matched wine by Yvonne Lorkin per course.

Dinner:
Entree: Tuna loin confit, coriander, paprika mousse, yuzu gel.
Main: Slow roast grain fed beef, smoked mushroom, truffled tempura egg, miso butternut cream.
Dessert: Textured chocolate, orange, hazelnut.
Expertly matched wine by Yvonne Lorkin per course.

Vegetarian (you must pre-order this)
Entree: Ricotta kumara gnocchi, zucchini wafer, mint, seven spiced basil pesto.
Main: Salt baked beetroot, cashew crumb, thyme curd, butternut, micro salad.

A bar menu will be available for all guests to purchase on the day from the bar or cafe.

Vertical Tasting:
A vertical tasting is when you taste the same wine from a vineyard year on year, learning why each wine is so unique and how it is affected by the environment. Eg. Pinot noir 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.

Sessions being held at The Jefferson in Imperial Lane:

1 pm - Masterclass with Yvonne Lorkin
The Rise of the New Whites (with some old faves thrown in). We'll look at groovy new white varieties spinning the wheels of our boutique winemakers across the length of the land.

2 pm - Matawhero Winery
Matawhero Church House Chenin Blanc 2013 (Gold), 2014 (Gold/Trophy), 2015 (5 Star) and 2016

3 pm - Silver Wing
Silver Wing Chardonnays 2012, 2014, and 2015 comparing French and Hungarian oak influence plus also Pinot Noirs 2011 and 2014.
These wines will then be compared with the Preservative free 2014 Nada Pinot Noir and the preservative free 2015 Nada Chardonnay to see how natural wines measure up to sulphated wines (same vineyard, same year).
