The NZ Art Show is the largest exhibition and sale of original and affordable art by emerging and established New Zealand artists. Operating since 2004, the NZ Art Show is an iconic annual art event that makes it easy for any New Zealander to own original New Zealand art. It’s a visual feast for art lovers and those interested in purchasing original New Zealand Art at affordable prices; the average sale price is $650.

Featuring thousands of artworks by hundreds of artists the NZ Art Show represents a broad range of styles and media. And all presented professionally in a dynamic and inspiring environment on Wellington's vibrant waterfront. This is the perfect opportunity to start or add to your art collection; it’s also an ideal way to meet some of the artists who are on-site for the duration of the show.

You don’t need to know anything about art - the NZ Art Show is for everyone.

Gala Evening – Thursday, June 1, 6:30 pm - 9 pm.

The three-day event is preceded by the highly anticipated Gala evening, one of the highlights on Wellington's social calendar. Since 2006, it has been at full capacity with over 1,200 guests attending each year

What makes it such a great occasion? Combining the relaxed atmosphere that art often emanates with complementary entertainment, it is where our guests come to unwind and take a first glimpse at the array of artworks adorning the gallery walls. We take special care to ensure attendees are well looked after with delicious cocktail food, boutique beer, and quality wine.

Guests also have the opportunity to purchase works on the night before doors open to the public.

Tickets to this highly popular evening always sell out. To ensure that you don't miss out, become a Friend of the NZ Art Show - http://www.artshow.co.nz/friends/
