What is Off Grid 17?
Off Grid is a design conference converging in Wellington. Through a series of curated events and experiences in diverse locations (including Wellington Museum, Space Place, Te Papa, Prefab, Seashore Cabaret, Raglan Roast, Playstation and others) around the city considers where Experiential Graphic Design fits into the ever-expanding discipline of design?

What do Experience Design, Service Design, Wayfinding, Brand Identity and Exhibition Design contribute to Experiential Graphic Design? How does Experiential Graphic Design actually connect people to place? Off Grid 17 is an international event from the Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) - a multidisciplinary community, supported by the Designers Institute of New Zealand, and endorsed by Ico-D.

Where is it happening?
Off Grid 17 is a series of talks and workshops in Wellington with ‘stopovers’ in Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney and Brisbane that will help you break up your travel. The city becomes the auditorium so you won’t feel trapped in a lecture theatre or boring conference hotel. Off Grid speakers will engage you in a conversation about the practice of experiential design using exciting locations around the city.
