Woolston Brass with Music Director Tyme Marsters presents Passchendaele WW100 commemorating one of New Zealand's darkest days.

It has been 100 years since the Battle of Passchendaele (12th of October 1917) when 846 young New Zealanders were killed in Belgium, with many more to die over the coming days from the wounds received on this one day. By the end of the day the total number of casualties, the wounded, the dead and the missing was 2,740. It took two and a half days to clear the battlefield of the dead and injured.

New Zealand’s darkest day will not be forgotten, we will remember them.

Key works that will be performed include:
- Passchendaele by Dwayne Bloomfield
- In Memoriam (For the Fallen) by Philip Sparke (New Zealand Premiere)
- Walking with Heroes by Paul Lovatt-Cooper
- Mars (Bringer of War) by Gustav Holst
- Solemn Entry of the Knights of St John by Strauss (New Zealand Premiere)

Doors sales available (Cash/Eftpos). Early bird tickets available online.

A variety of Woolston Brass CDs and merchandise will be available to purchase.

Off site parking available on Winchester Street and Andover Street. Limited on site parking available off Andover Street.
