If you have a fancy camera and you need a hand to learn how to use it, this is ideal for you. Come and learn how to take low light photographs!
I have run lots of these PhotoWalks (totally free of charge) around New Zealand and overseas to help people get better at photography. If you're using your camera on auto, you need to come along and join in with us on this PhotoWalk.
After this, you should be able to take nice low light photographs that will impress your friends.
Before Coming Along: I ask that you please join my free photography course. Here you'll learn a few of the basics that we'll cover on this PhotoWalk. By joining the course, you'll have a head start and will find the PhotoWalk much more enjoyable - http://upanadam.co.nz/learn-photography/
On the evening:
7 pm - First I'll do an intro and running through a few camera settings that you can try. Then we'll move about for a couple of hours, moving slowly as people stop and photograph things that they see along the way. Normally the PhotoWalks don't go far, but we will all have a huge amount of fun taking some creative pictures.
- Bring your camera (obviously). This can be a fancy camera or just your mobile phone, it doesn't bother me too much, the more people I see getting into photography the better! (note, mobile phones probably won't be able to take long exposure shots like cover photo)
- A tripod. Big or small, some people even just bring the little week bendy-leg tripods, they work, but you need to be able to keep your camera steady for long exposure shots.
- A jersey/jacket, you don't want to have to leave the fun early just because it's cold
We'll be meeting near the Bridge St bridge, by the old wharf on Grantham St. See the Facebook for more detail - https://www.facebook.com/events/332714163795675/
