Want to devise a show but don't know how to start? Want to access your play impulse and be a bit silly around other people? Want to feel inspired?

Want to get out of your head and in your body? Play invites anyone and everyone to delve into Pat-A-Cake Productions' playful and movement-based devising methodology to beginning a theatre process. We will come together and start from scratch demonstrating how play is the best way to get those ideas out of your head and into action! Pat-A-Cake Productions have been making theatre for four years and believe they have clocked on to a pretty great rhythm and process. Come and join us in a room with nice wooden floors and activate your inner creative child!

The workshop will involve: Verbing, moments-makes, games, no wrong ideas, play, fun

You can expect: To play! To move your body (do bring clothes to move in). Did I say play?

Sarah Tuck is a Wellington based performer, physical comedienne, and secret sports enthusiast. She won Best Female Performer and Edgiest show in the Nelson Fringe Festival in 2015 for her outrageous physical comedy The Things We Do. Sarah co-founded Pat-A-Cake Productions in 2012 and has contributed to 11 productions, 2 national tours and 1 international tour since. She likes ocean swims in the winter, impersonating her colleagues, star-sign banter, and play (in every essence of the word).
