One of New Zealand's most successful playwrights Roger Hall will be holding an intensive two-hour workshop teaching you almost everything you want to know about playwriting.

“What I describe is not necessarily the way everyone should write a play; it’s the way I write plays. And it seems to have worked for 40 years,” explains Roger.

Although primarily for playwrights (or would-be playwrights), a lot of what will be covered is useful for fiction writers.

Topics include:
- Dialogue
- “What sort of play should I write?”
- Characterisation
- Time and Place
- Plots and sub-plots
- Exposition
- Holding the Audience
- Structure
- Working Methods
