The producer plays a critical role in realising the vision and potential of a project. The producer oversees the overall production, monitoring and managing everything from the budget and contracts to securing venues, suppliers and gathering a team.

In this targeted, intensive workshop participants will develop and enhance their knowledge and ability in the key processes and practices in producing a theatre project ranging from negotiating deals, contracting, budgeting, raising funds and managing a team.

Miles Gregory is the Artistic Director and Founder of Pop-up Globe. He has directed some thirty professional productions of Shakespeare around the world including seasons in London's West End, UK national tours and site-specific productions. In this season he directs Pop-up Globe's critically-acclaimed production of Henry V. Last year he directed the hugely successful production of Twelfth Night for Pop-up Globe. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Staging Shakespeare from Exeter University (UK) and a PhD in contemporary Shakespearean performance from Bristol University (UK).

Capacity is limited to 12 per person and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Pop-up Globe Auckland is a full-scale working temporary replica of the second Globe Theatre originally built by Shakespeare and his company in 1614, the result of ground-breaking international academic research. With a steel frame ‘skinned’ in plywood the Pop-up Globe fuses cutting-edge scaffold technology with 400-year-old designs and superb contemporary performances to create an immersive 360 degree experience unlike any other.
