Don't miss our first ever Sail for Whales event! Thanks to our friends at Auckland Whale and Dolphin Safari, we're heading off on an evening cruise of the Waitemata Harbour and Hauraki Gulf on Tuesday 28th March 2017.

Join us for an entertaining and informative evening with DOC's Auckland Marine Ranger and Researcher Dr. Krista Hupman who will share insights into the challenges facing marine mammals in the Auckland region. You will also have the chance to meet the Project Jonah team who attended the recent stranding at Farewell Spit, as well as like-minded people who care about the welfare of our marine mammals as much as you do.

Proceeds from the event will go directly to Project Jonah's emergency response fund so that in the event of another stranding our treasured marine mammals stand the best chance of survival.

When: Tuesday 28 March, 6.45pm, cruising for 3 hours
Where: Depart from NZ Maritime Museum, 175 Quay Street, Auckland
Tickets: $65 each
Ticket includes BBQ dinner, a complimentary drink and prize draw ticket.

There will be a prize draw and silent auction on the night, with experiences and items valued at over $3,000. For the prize draw, buy your tickets in advance or cash sales will be available ($5 each) on the night.

Please note Sail for Whales is an R18 event. If the weather prevents us sailing the event will still go ahead in the Viaduct Harbour.
