Master Qigong Practitioner, Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturist and Master Qigong Healer Peter Caughey, is an internationally renowned Teacher and Healer and is returning to New Zealand for a short time offering an intensive 3-day Qigong Teacher Training course in Wanaka.

He will be teaching Level 1 of the Shi Ba Shi Qigong Taiji System which is a module course apart of the 200-hour Qigong Teaching Training Certification programme offered through his Forest Rock School. (This course is a stand alone course and can be attended independently of the full Teacher Training Certification programme.)

What is Qigong in case you don’t already know? Qigong is pronounced chee-gung and is the applied science of manipulating bioenergy and has been practiced by martial artists, doctors and healers for over 2,000 years. To put it simply, Qigong is the skill of moving energy.

Peter who resides in Bali, Indonesia, has over 25 years’ experience in the areas of Acupuncture, Reflexology, Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine, Qigong Healing, Qigong and Taiji Quan. He currently runs Qigong Teacher Training courses, Qigong workshops and retreats in Bali and NZ.

Peter’s purpose and mission in life is simple; to provide individuals with the tools to break free from their limiting belief stories that stops them from fulfilling their true potential in life.

During this course, you will learn about the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qigong Medical Healing, Qigong Theory and Philosophy and you will become competent in practising Qigong health exercises. There is also a component that teaches you how to write lesson plans and how to teach.

If you are interested in learning Qigong and don't necessarily want to become a teacher this course will still be very valuable to you for your own personal practice, learning and growth.

Beginners and advanced practitioners are welcome.

“There was a time when the world discovered the benefits of Yoga and I believe that this is the time for people to discover and embrace the practice and profound benefits of Qigong.”

The Wanaka teacher training is being held over Labour weekend. The low early-bird price is on offer for all participants who register prior to the 13 October 2017 and after 13 October the full price will apply.

On Monday the 23 October, Caughey will be running an open Acupuncture Clinic for both course participants and the wider community, for anyone wishing to experience the health benefits of Acupuncture.
