Get your pride on because there's a Rainbow in the Village!

Vinyl & Proud warmly invites you to the first ever queer pride festival in Paekakariki over Labour Weekend. Last year we ran a hugely successful rainbow dance which packed out the local hall and raised funds for one of our treasured community members who needed assistance with health treatments.

This year, we've extended the event to make it more like a festival. It includes:
- Meet and Mingle at Finn's Bar & Restaurant on Friday 20th Oct 6pm-10pm.
- Poetry Readings and open mic at Petticoat Junction Saturday 21st Oct 3pm.
- The world's shortest Pride Parade 6pm Saturday 21st Oct (we're hoping to get this listed in the Guinness Book of World Records).

Leading into:
- A fabulous dance with entertainment and non-stop dancing at St Peter's Hall from 7pm-12am
Rainbow In the Village.
- Brunch at the Perching Parrot on Sunday 22nd Oct from 10am
- A Rainbow Movie ('Pride') at Finn's Cinema 4pm
- Final Drinks Sunday from 6pm at Finn's

The purpose of this year's festival is to raise awareness and funds for OuterSpaces - a vital support and advocacy service for young gender and sexuality diverse people in Wellington.

The festival is dedicated to Virginia Burns aka Virginia Parker-Bowles aka V, who passed away in June this year - a champion of strong, unified communities in Wellington and an avid supporter of the work of OuterSpaces.
