After years of earning a place as one of New Zealand's favourite live acts, Sal Valentine is ready to start a new chapter with an expanded band and a huge new repertoire of original material.

Sal casts the net widely, infusing his writing with a love for pop music. Traces of Soul, RnB, Jazz, Hard Rock and Funk culminate in a mix that is indelible, unique and modern. His road-tested 10-piece band The Babyshakes are bursting at the seams with horns, backing vocals and an explosive rhythm section.

Together they create some new material that is equal parts tight grooves and intimate sincerity, as showcased in the band’s latest EP, Church.

Hot on the heels of that EP, the band is working towards the release of their sophomore full-length album later this year. With that in mind, expect this live show to be brimming with new songs that are equally at home rousing a crowd, or soothing a broken heart after the night is over.
