Following on from our Slanted conversation series started in 2012, this event will examine and discuss New Zealand’s political environment from a perspective relevant to our members. Issues that will be discussed may include housing, transport, economy and immigration, which are all topics that affect us as Aucklanders, as Chinese in New Zealand and as young professionals.

Our event will be held on the week of this year’s election and will be comprised of two parts:
- A panel discussion, with speakers including David Soh of Mandarin Pages, Lincoln Tan from the New Zealand Herald and Dr Francis Collins of Auckland University. The panel will provide background and context to this year’s election, give their perspectives on the main issues from a Chinese lens and answer your questions.

- Party candidate/representative “Pecha Kucha”, in which representives from the main political parties will introduce themselves and their parties in a mini Pecha Kecha style format.

There will also be an opportunity for networking with other Future Dragonz members, our Committee and all speakers at the end of the event.

Drinks and canapes will be provided.
