Meet Me When The Moon Shines with Kairava Gullatz:
It is night time, not everybody is asleep! This class is about making clay sculptures of creatures of the night: kiwi, bat, more pork and more in a playful and informative way you will hand build your animals while learning the techniques and processes associated with clay sculpture.

Jolly Jumper with Kairava Gullatz:
What’s hopping along over there? Let’s make your favourite animal, acrobat or your best friend that likes jumping with joy. We will use soft clay to model our shapes. There will also be a pottery wheel so you can experience throwing small vessels.

Future Inventors with Charlotte Maguire:
Combining an awareness of artists and designers making work around themes of climate change with a screening of Back to the Future from 1985, students will work with a variety of materials to design and create imaginative inventions for the future!

Animated Poetry with Martin Sercombe:
Create animated visual poetry combining spoken word and 2D animation in this fun, two-day course. Write and record short poems then animate them using drawing, collage, cut-outs, coloured pens and stop frame software. A downloadable link to the finished animations will be emailed to participants after the course.

Perfume Making Workshop (Kids Only!) with Vanessa York:
Ever wondered what a wizard smells like? What scent floated from Alice as she fell through the rabbit hole? Was Mowgli’s jungle fragrance fascinating? And do fairies really smell of flowers? You decide! If you’d like to learn how to make perfume, this workshop is especially for you. You will learn how to blend a scent that stays and create a perfume for your favourite character. Mad scientists welcome!

Jugs for Limonade with Kairava Gullatz:
Make a very special clay jug, possibly one that makes you laugh. Bring your artist’s imagination and come up with creative ideas for unusual shapes. What about modelling a bird with big eyes and a big beak for a spout or an alligator standing tall, which would let you pour juice through its mouth? Clay sculpting techniques will be demonstrated and a pottery wheel will be available for throwing small vessels.
