Voices of Sacred Earth (VOSE) Festival is the 12th and final stop on a 28-day tour of NZ by this versatile acoustic trio from Australia.

This three-day eco-festival is a gathering of hundreds of people for a weekend of transformational workshops, performances and educational seminars, focusing on indigenous cultures, Earth wisdom, sacred ceremony, organic and sustainable living, wellbeing and social change.

The Festival opens on Friday 24th March 4:30pm, and ends with a closing ceremony on Sunday 26th March at 6pm. Full weekend or day passes are available.

Sturrock & Ward are part of the Sunday afternoon programme (two sessions).

12 noon - Session One: Main Stage - Sturrock & Ward Performance - "One Love, Many Names"

This dynamic Australian trio perform a selection of meaningful and inspiring original repertoire, featuring award-winning songsmith Brian Ward, the masterful guitar work of Marcus Sturrock (including his trademark guitar body percussion) and the lovely vocal tone, agility and harmonies of Jenny Ward.

3:30 pm - Session Two: Main Stage - Sturrock & Ward - Guitar & Songwriting Workshop

Marcus Sturrock reveals his unique techniques, tunings and styles on the steel string acoustic guitar. He explores the tension and resolution of the composition, ways to sustain interest and passion for playing through spontaneity and innovative driving percussion played on the guitar’s body. Brian Ward (award-winning songwriter and former President of Australian Songwriters Assn) shares insights on writing songs with method and meaning, and the interplay of lyrics, melody, structure, arrangement, and performance.

Sunday day tickets (16 years plus) range from $75 - $85. Children under 16 have free admission to the Festival.
