Renaissance scholar Emma Jameson returns in another fascinating free talk, exploring the art and symbols of Leonardo Da Vinci’s art.

On the last day of the Da Vinci Machines and Robots exhibition, Sunday 26 March 2017, Rotorua Museum will host Jameson at the Sir Howard Morrison Performing Arts Centre. An honours in art history graduate with a passion for Renaissance art, Jameson is fast becoming a familiar face here in Rotorua.

Having already hosted a free talk at Rotorua Museum in October 2016 on the Dutch grandmaster, Rembrandt, Jameson is now turning her attention to the brilliant scientist, inventor and artist Leonardo da Vinci.

Many mysteries surround Da Vinci’s art including his use of symbolism, techniques and references.

Jameson will apply her expert knowledge of the artistic period as well as her understanding of the artist himself to dispel some of the myth and mystery around Da Vinci and his art.

Entry to the talk is free with exhibition admission, which is free for locals with ID.

Exhibition admission for all other adults.
