Are you hungry for some good news about the state of our natural world? Have you ever wanted to know the full story of wellington’s natural heritage?

In this seminar, Zealandia sanctuary founder Jim Lynch traverses the full landscape of Wellington’s natural history. Starting with a look at old Wellington’s special ecosystems, he recounts their fate up until 1990 when Wellington City was essentially a biological cot case with few species and a little left of its original habitats.

From then he traces, through seldom-seen images and many behind-the-scenes stories, the remarkable sequence of events that have led to our city and region becoming a showcase and international leader in conservation and especially urban conservation.

Along the way, Jim recalls the many remarkable people who have made this all possible. It is the story of a quarter century that has changed our city and region dramatically and forever. Don’t miss out!

Doors open 7pm.
