Teaching our young women to embrace technology.

Digital technologies are rapidly causing changes to work not seen since the industrial revolution. They are transforming virtually all aspects of New Zealanders’ lives. They are changing how we interact with one another and how we express ourselves, the way we learn, work and play, and how we access good and services – including those delivered by government. Whether or not you aspire to have a career in technology, you need to prepare for the impact digital technologies will have on the future of work.

Join us to hear Andrea Hancox from NZ Tech talks about the future of work and set the scene for the session. Merridy Marshall will follow-up and talk about opportunities for young women to learn tech skills and the important contribution parents make to girls’ career choices.

Merridy will then facilitate a discussion with our panelists on how you can combine your passion with technology.

On the panel we have:

- Sarah Burke - ANZ technology, Head of Delivery NZ, ANZ.
- Katie Long - Assistant HOD Technology (Responsible of Digital Technology), Hutt Valley High School.
- Mona Ruan - Studying for a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Network Engineering, Victoria University of Wellington.
- Jordan Carlton - Game programmer, Magic Leap/Weta Workshop.
