The Great Pumpkin Carnival is on 2nd April.

- You don't need to have grown a pumpkin to enter, you can carve or decorate a store bought pumpkin or make your very own pumpkin racer. There is a category for Baking with pumpkin.
- The 2016 winning giant pumpkin weighed 789.5 kg, grown by Morrinsville farmer Tim Harris. He now holds the Australasian record. Will someone beat him this year? Will he grow a heavier one this year?
- The Great Pumpkin Carnival is the only pumpkin festival in New Zealand that is registered with the Pumpkin Commonwealth in USA, hence any record we hold is officially recognised.
