Everyone welcome to The Vic for an evening of history and intrigue!
The ticket price includes your choice of wine or ice cream.

The movie, the 'Viceroy's House', is just out and stars Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) and Gillian Anderson (X-Files).

The year is 1947, and the scene is the resplendent Viceroy's House in Delhi, the home of the British rulers of India. After 300 years, that rule is coming to an end, and for 6 months in 1947, Lord Mountbatten, great-grandson of Queen Victoria, assumes the post of the last Viceroy, charged with handing India back to its people.

The drama unfolds within that great house. Upstairs lived the Mountbattens; downstairs lived an astonishing 500 Hindu, Muslim and Sikh servants. As the political elite - Nehru, Jinnah and Gandhi - converge on the House to wrangle over the birth of independent India, conflict erupts.

If you like period dramas, this is the movie for you!
