Toi Hauora – Art for Wellbeing is an exhibition celebrating 10 years since the installation of, 100% Pure Ora – Garden of Wellbeing at Taupō Museum.

Artist’s were invited to purchase an 8 x 10 frame from Taupō Museum and produce an original artwork of their own reflecting the theme ‘Toi Hauora’ Art for Wellbeing. In other words, the artists were invited to create an artwork in a medium of their choice that makes them feel great!

About 60 artists and creative people from Taupō have produced artworks in a variety of mediums such as photography, painting, printing and carving. All the artworks are for sale and are affordable with all priced under $200.

Displayed alongside the framed artworks will be original garden sculptures created especially for this exhibition by local artists Robbie Graham, Toni Brown, David Hawke and Doug Anderson.

Toi Hauora will be showing in the Main gallery from March 25. Next door in the Niven Room the Friends of the Taupō Museum and Art Gallery have curated an exhibition entitled ‘Ora – Story of a Garden’ which tells the Story of 100% Pure Ora - Garden of Wellbeing from conception to today. The Friends of the Taupō Museum were instrumental in bringing the garden to Taupō.

Taupo Museum will be closed Easter Friday April 14.
