We’re open late and there are plenty of opportunities to learn some sweet dance moves before you groove the night away.

Auckland Live Summer in the Square runs from 1 December - 24 February with music, dancing, festive weekends, family activities and much more, all free in Aotea Square, Auckland.

Visit for the full schedule.

DJ Andy Flyboy - 13 January, 12pm
DJ Andy Flyboy will play rare and rocking R&B, doo wop, and soul.

Show Me Where It Hurts - 13 January, 6pm
Show Me Where It Hurts play big-hearted pop songs and heavy-hearted torch songs with a light-hearted reverie. They distill 60 years of Maximum R&B through the tight and focused bottleneck of a two-piece, and they glory in the chaos which comes when you tip the bottle over.

Miss La Vida - 13 January, 7pm
Come learn how to pony like Bony Maronie and do the mashed potato with go-go instructor Miss La Vida. Shake your hips like it’s the swinging sixties!

Motor City Family Funk - 13 January, 8:30pm
This nine-piece band will get the party started with soul and funk classics.

The Glory Days Vintage Market - 14 and 15 January, 12pm
Full of vintage, retro clothing and curios, be sure to bring your cash and snap up some unique treasures - no chain stores allowed!

The Beauty School Dropouts
Vintage Makeover Demonstration - 14 January, 12pm - 12:30pm
Watch and learn at their beauty demonstration as they transform a modern gal into a vintage beauty queen.

The Pamper Parlour - 14 and Sunday 15 January, 12pm - 6pm
Break the rules of traditional beauty and treat yourself to a vintage makeover.

The Lindy Tops - 14 January, 12:30pm
Get on the dancefloor with your partner while The Lindy Tops play arrangements selected especially for swing dancers.

Foxy Ladies - 14 January, 2pm
The Foxy Ladies have a passion for fashion and love to dole out (dubious) advice. They will be officiating over the inaugural Picnic Contest.

Picnic Contest - 14 January, 2pm
Make sure your picnic basket packs a punch at the first ever Glory Days Picnic Contest. Prizes awarded for pre-eminent picnic presentations!

DJ Sal Valentine - 14 January, 3pm
The swinging sultan of soulful strutting (and so on) will make you swoon this afternoon!

Swing Out Central - 14 January, 7pm
Swing Out Central’s much-loved public swing classes will give you the basics you need to dance up a storm.

Society Jazz Men - 14 January, 8pm
Guaranteed to get your toes tapping, the group formed in 1969 and has been playing jazz and swing music ever since.

The Smokey Juleps - 15 January, 12.30pm
Smokey in name and sound, this piano and vocal jazzy duo will have you misty-eyed for yesteryear by the end of the first refrain.

Hula Hoop - 15 January, 2pm
Come swing your hips and learn to hula like a pro with our head hooping honcho. Hoops provided BYO energy and enthusiasm.

Durty Murdur - 15 January, 4pm
Cigar box guitar and snare drum blues. Rockabilly skiffle and 12-bar vintage boogie.
