The programme for the recital consists of sonatas by Mozart, Grieg and Brahms.

Amalia Hall is an inspiring New Zealand violinist who performs internationally as well as in NZ. She has won a number of international and national competitions and awards including the Janacek, Postacchini, Tunbridge Wells and Dinu Lipatti International Competitions, and Royal Overseas League Overseas Award. Her extensive performing experience includes concerti, recitals and chamber music in Europe, Mexico, China, USA and NZ.

In 2017 she is contracted as violin/viola lecturer at the University of Waikato and also begins her recent appointment as concertmaster with Orchestra Wellington. Amalia studied at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in the USA with renowned violin teachers Pamela Frank and Joseph Silverstein, after completing a BMus at Auckland University.

Christopher Park, a German-born pianist, has been chosen as "Rising Star" by ECHO (European Concert Hall Organisation) for the 2016-2017 concert season for which he will debut in Europe's renowned concert halls in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Vienna, Stockholm, Barcelona, Budapest, Lisbon and others. In 2014 he was awarded the Leonard Bernstein Award thereby joining the ranks of noteworthy musicians such as Lang Lang, Lisa Batiashvili and Martin Grubinger, who all started their careers with this internationally sought-after award.

Numerous important ensembles have engaged Park, a few of which are the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Munich Symphony Orchestra, both Frankfurt and North German Radio Symphony Orchestras, Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Frankfurt Opera Orchestra, Spanish National Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Galicia, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, Chambre Orchestra of Lausanne and Bamberg Symphony.

His new CD with works by Schumann, Stravinsky and Neuwirth is celebrated in European magazines as "brilliant recording" and "reference version". It is released by Oehms Classics and has been nominated for the International Classical Music Award 2017.
