First ever public screening of two short films.
Wairarapa based filmmakers, Allan Honey and Neil Frances together with Hedley's Bookshop are proud to announce an extraordinary double-feature screening to coincide with Anzac commemorations.
The first film is “March On” and it complements Neil Frances’s book which he wrote in 2012 called “Safe Haven: The Untold Story of New Zealand’s Largest Ever Military Camp - Featherston: 1916-1919”.
Neil narrates the history of the camp with hundreds of photographs on screen. The highlight is a 3D simulation of the camp to illustrate the immense size of the camp.
The second film is a short action film “Crossing the Line” that features recreated aerial and trench fighting - shot here in Wairarapa - written and directed by Peter Jackson in 2007.
