A family Conservation event hosted by Kids Greening Taupo with the aim of getting kids out into nature.

The fun easy activities which can also be replicated at home will include exploring New Zealand’s invertebrates and how they are important for our environment, arts and crafts to make their very own invertebrate and having a go at building their very own insect hotel.

This event is in partnership with the Department of Conservation Kiwi Guardians where kids can complete the activities at home for a Kiwi Guardian medal.

Families are invited to come and have a fun experience in the Waipahihi Botanical Gardens by getting close and personal with the largest group of animals on the planet and go away hopefully with a new appreciation for these vitally important critters.
