For this lunchtime concert, held in conjunction with the Turnbull Gallery exhibition ‘An Ornament to the Town,’ Wellington Brass-Quad will play a selection of classical pieces for brass.

Wellington Brass Quad comprises Toby Pringle, Patrick Webb (Trumpet), Andrew Yorkstone (Trombone), and Luke Spence (Euphonium). Each of the members play in a wide variety of orchestras and bands around Wellington and New Zealand, and have performed with the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band, Wellington Brass, Woolston Brass, National Youth Orchestra, Orchestra Wellington, and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.

The group has specialties in both brass band and classical music repertoire. The Brass-Quad formed at the Te Koki New Zealand School of Music, where all the members currently study.
