How comfortable are you saying no to something you don’t want to do?

We may have developed the tendency to swallow our feelings or to repress them until they bubble out of us uncontrollably - Can we retrain ourselves to instead be clear and assertive, so that we can better respect ourselves and others? How can we support those around us to declare their needs respectfully too?

How can we maintain our assertiveness even when we doubt or question our needs?

Being nice can mean never saying what you want, never being heard, never having an opinion that’s different to someone else. Being assertive is being honest to yourself - how do we do this and still be ‘nice’?

Let's unpack positive and pro-active methods for advocating for our own needs and boundaries towards a stronger sense of empowerment at all stages of wellbeing.

At CoLiberate, we love talking about what it takes to make wellbeing a priority. This is one from a series of wānanga offering a safe and facilitated space where we can come together to unpack our wellness experiences and learn from one another. Join us for a cuppa and a conversation about what's on top, share tools and tips and listen.

All welcome - $5 Koha for tea and vitamins. Teapot will be hot from 5pm!
You are welcome to make a full evening of it and stay to take this theme straight into Yoga at 7pm ($15).
