The Woodcraft gallery showcases and sells the artworks of about 46 wood artists sourced both locally and from throughout New Zealand.

Individually worked sculptural pieces, hand carved by the local artist Andrew Lyons. Lath turned kitchen wears in rimu, matai and walnut by Chch crafter Tom Pearse. Stunning hollow vessels urns, bowls and plates in Kaori, rimu and red beach by Jim and Judy Ross from the North Island.

To name but a few. Perfect as art pieces or special gifts. We showcase clocks, boxes, bowls, kitchen utensils, toys, puzzles, albums, vases and exclusive to The Woodcraft Gallery exquisite, locally made Christmas decorations, rose windows (Xmas tree ornaments, magnets and multiple sizes to hang on the wall or as coasters), and small rim, pendant replicas of both of Chch's beloved cathedrals.

The woods used are predominantly NZ natives, but some artists us fruit woods and exotics that have been grown here since settler times. Hand carved, Lath turned, band sawed and laser cut to name but a few types.

The Woodcraft Gallery has been established on this site on the Boulevard since moving out of it's Arts Centre Gallery shop after the earthquake of February 2011. It had been trading there for 26 years.

We also have on display, hand carved, New Zealand jade (greenstone) worked by a family from Greymouth on the West coast of the South Island.
