Donna Jacobs Sife is an award-winning storyteller, writer, educator and social activist from Sydney.

Drawing from her work in South Africa, Israel and Palestine, and with indigenous and refugee communities in Australia, Donna will explore practical techniques for working with a story to enhance communication and understanding between people of diverse backgrounds.

Donna’s workshop is a mixture of storytelling, poetry, song and activities for listening, connecting and reflecting. The 3-hour workshop will be peppered with personal anecdotes and scenarios that will enable participants to sense the nature of this work and how to approach it.

This is for anyone who is wanting to bring about positive change in the community and applying such knowledge in different situations. It could be of interest to social workers, librarians, teachers, community development workers, writers, journalists, counsellors - anyone, in fact, who has an interest in learning helpful communication skills, and how to work wth story to enhance relationships and understanding.

Discover how storytelling can connect, empower and heal. It will be a relaxed workshop with easy activities. No storytelling experience necessary!
