You may have heard about the World Masters Games taking place in Auckland in 2017.

This is the world’s largest multi-sport games - bigger than the Olympics. There will be approximately 25,000 competitors including around 1,000 players in Badminton. Gillies Avenue will host two divisions in the badminton competition which is played from 21-30 April.

We can’t run our tournaments without the great help of our many volunteers and we would love your help! We need friendly & enthusiastic people to fill various roles so why not be part of the action?
Why Should I Volunteer?

You’ll be part of a fun and energetic team of over 4,000 volunteers all working together to deliver a fantastic experience to athletes from around the world. By volunteering you will be giving back to the game, seeing top international Masters players, gaining skills and also supporting the Auckland Badminton Association.

Participation in an event like this is great to have on your CV too. All volunteers will also receive:
- World Masters Games 2017 Volunteer Uniform (Shirt, Jacket, Cap and Backpack)
- Meal and Refreshments during your shifts
- Invitation to a special “Thank You” event for Volunteers
- Free public transport on buses and trains during the games

No experience needed - training is provided which will cover everything you need to know.
