Camp Bay, nestled on the eastern side of Lyttelton Harbour hosts spectacular scenery, volcanic sequences, and historical links. Join volcanologist Sam Hampton on a family friendly walk exploring the shore platform of Camp Bay and learn about the volcanic evolution and eruptions of the Lyttelton Volcanic Complex. See how Banks Peninsula developed over time through the construction of sand volcanoes, and hear about the development of the Te Pataka o Rakaihautu/Banks Peninsula Geopark and the blending of our unique stories.
