Your favourite surf band you've never heard of before is back!

Born out of the flaming magma of mount Kilauea way back in Feb of 2008, the dynamic duo Sharkbait set about entertaining the masses with their unique brand of surf music, until in November that same year they encountered the not-so-mythical beast Medusa on a surf trip and were tragically frozen in time.

Now in 2018 however, through the dark magic of Hawaiian voodoo chanting, the spell has been undone (although the volcano erupted again as a side effect... so yeah... sorry about that).

Having laid dormant for an entire Decade, the time has finally arrived for the return of - Sharkbait!

To celebrate this wondrous turn of events we're putting on a huge beach party at Dunedin's hottest new live music venue Fifty Gorillas Live (66 Princes St), and to join us we've recruited our good friends and voracious vanquishers of vacuous vacillation:

The Vortz!
But wait, there's more! Kicking off the party will be the voodoo chanters that helped secure our freedom with their capricious but conciliatory conquest of our cacademomania (its a real word I swear):

Its the Celluloid Bikers!

Duuude, what a deal! With such an overabundance of radical rapacious rock 'n' roll razzmatazz, the 2018 Mid-Winter Beach Party is guaranteed to make all your endless summer longings ten times worse, so bring your snorkel and your itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka-dot bikini because you may as well go full tit (see what I did there?)

*But seriously, if you wear a mask & snorkel to the show I will personally buy you a drink.
