Joyful, uplifting community dance for every-body!

Learn some sweet new moves inspired by West African dance traditions, and get your groove on to djembe drum rhythms played by real live local drummers.

I've been learning, teaching and performing these dance forms all over the world for over ten years now, and I'm excited to finally share some of this goodness with Whāingaroa!

Cost: $10/session, or $50 for all six sessions.
Discounts available for students/unwaged, barters possible - please ask.

Here's a recommendation from one of my students, from the classes I used to run in Auckland:
"I would recommend Monica's African dance classes to anyone and everyone! I started going to her classes around 4 years ago and have been hooked ever since! I started off as a complete beginner to dancing and through these super fun and energetic classes, I have discovered my own passion for dance and African rhythm. Monica is a very patient and encouraging teacher, making these classes a fun experience for everybody!"

Hope to see you on the dance floor! - Monica
