Hopukiore Mt Drury is one of Tauranga’s little hidden gems, a ‘mini’ Mauao because of the concentration of archaeological features from Tauranga’s earliest Polynesian settlers.

Archaeologist Ken Phillips will talk about the archaeology of Hopukiore and surrounding archaeological landscape including Pilot Bay and Mauao. This is a great opportunity to hear from an archaeologist who has researched, surveyed and investigated local landmarks.
