Join us for a multimedia poetry event where Auckland is given a voice by those who live there.

Imagine if Ponsonby wrote a letter to K’rd, or if Rangitoto challenged the Sky tower to a rap battle.

Auckland Speaks is a multimedia performance event in which local poets, storytellers, rappers and dancers create original works of art from the voice of their own home. It’s a series of love letters from Auckland to itself.

Performers include: Penny Ashton, Stevie Sikuea, Vanessa Crofsky, Zech Soakai, Word - the Front Line Youth Poets, The South Auckland Poets Collective, Members of the Niu Wave Collective and more!

Produced by Ken Arkind. Music Direction by DJ Exile.

This event is all ages but please note there may be use of strong language.
